Videographer Patrick Butler and reporter/producer Aileen O’Meara travelled to Vietnam with Irish folk musician and academic Mick Moloney and his musician colleagues to highlight the ongoing tragedy of the legacy of Agent Orange, the chemical used in the Vietnam War that has created generations of disabled people. Supported by the Simon Cumbers Media Fund, the half hour documentary was broadcast on RTE One TV in November 2014.
Aileen O’Meara Media was the Associate Producer on “Way to Go”, a TV documentary about preparing for our death, funded by the Irish Hospice Foundation. Produced by New Decade TV and Film. Transmitted July 2014.
This is a short video report made on our smartphones and edited in iMovie. Filmed and edited by Sharon Kelly, it tells the story of the Kennedy Sisters in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, as they campaign for better wheelchairs.
